  • Master students can compose their own course package. They can choose to take up courses with an equivalent content as at KU Leuven or they can choose to take complementary courses with a content that is not an offer at the KU Leuven.

Academic calendar

Important: this is a destination with an early start

The academic year is divided in 2 semester with exams after each period:

  • Semester 1: end of August – end of November
  • Semester 2: begin of January – begin of May

Language & requirements

Language of instruction:

  • Norwegian
  • English

Requirements:

For students taking courses in Norwegian: one of the following tests to provide evidence of Norwegian language proficiency:

  • Norwegian for foreigners level 3
  • The national Bergen Norwegian Language Test: test successfully completed

There are no specific language requirements for English for exchange students coming from EU / EER / EFTA countries but a minimum level B2, preferably C2, in English is recommended.
